What you’ll do

- Design and implement custom computer vision algorithms for high-performance C++ pipelines.
- Integrate perception models into edge compute environments for autonomous systems.
- Translate research concepts into functional, deployable software.
- Optimize inference performance for real-time operation across varied environmental conditions.
- Manage the full lifecycle of technical projects from initial design to final integration.
- Collaborate with robotics, AI, and optical engineering teams to deliver mission-critical solutions.

Requirements

- Degree in Computer Vision, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Expert-level C++ proficiency with a history of building high-performance, real-time software.
- Experience creating bespoke computer vision algorithms rather than relying solely on pre-existing libraries.
- Solid grasp of image processing, machine learning, and computer vision theory.




- Ability to manage complex technical tasks from ambiguous requirements through to delivery.
- Competence in core software engineering, including data structures, algorithms, and version control.

Nice to have

- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Background in SLAM, 3D reconstruction, target tracking, camera calibration, or object detection.
- Experience with real-time video surveillance or similar vision-based systems.
- Familiarity with OpenCV or deep learning workflows for classification and sequence modeling.
- Experience deploying deep learning models into production perception systems.
- Prior work within the defense industry or on unmanned autonomous systems.
