Who we’re looking for?
- Relevant experience in Facilities Management, or from anengineering (mechanical, electrical) or trade-based background.
- Trade qualification in electrical, mechanical engineering orplumbing (desirable, not essential).
- Strong understanding of building systems (HVAC, BMS,mechanical operations) and facilities management processes is highly desirable.
- High level of financial awareness, computer literacy, andproblem-solving capability.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with confidencecommunicating with contractors, tenants, and senior stakeholders.
- Knowledge of facilities management operations, industry bestpractice, building codes and legislative requirements.
- A hands-on, proactive attitude with the willingness tolearn, adapt and contribute to a quick-paced environment.
The Role
Reporting to a Senior Engineering Manager and working aspart of a collaborative and high-performing Asset Management team, you will beresponsible for the day-to-day management and maintenance of a landmarkcommercial asset in Melbourne’s CBD.
This is a hands-on Facilities Manager role where you’ll beactively involved on the ground - working closely with contractors, tenants andthe wider onsite team. You’ll gain exposure across mechanical plant operations,contractor coordination, stakeholder engagement and site initiatives, ensuringthe asset operates safely,
efficiently and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Be the primary contact for technical and maintenance advice,supporting your Property Manager and client.
- Day-to-day building management including operations &compliance; matters.
- Provide recommendations to the clients and Property Managerto improve efficiencies on maintenance and operational issues.
- Ensure a high level of quality control of all contractors.
- Play a key role in driving the asset’s sustainabilityperformance.
- Conduct regular inspections of the entire building,including all common areas and plant rooms.
- Develop, implement and maintain Risk Management proceduresin accordance with National and State regulations and Client’s requirements.
