World Gym started way back in the golden era of Bodybuilding, Venice Beach – 1976. It has come a long way since then!
We first came to Australia in 2008, opening in Penrith NSW. Now we have over 30 clubs nationally with more in construction.
We offer a wide range of services to our members, and are so much more than just a weight training gym. We offer Group Fitness, Onsite childminding and fully stocked barbell café and Proshop.
What will I be doing?
The role involves Managing a team of energetic staff, reporting on club performance to Owners, and maintaining a World Class facility for our members. You will represent the Gym in a positive and professional manner.
The key tasks include:
- Working directly with the executive team to ensure overall success in the business
- Provision of exemplary service to members, including listening and responding to member needs in a professional and positive manner
- Manage the day to day running of the club
- Responding to Emails
- Ordering of retail and food and beverage stock
- Stock control
- Rosters
- Reception supervision
- Maintenance
- Member interactions
- Staff training/ up skilling
- Maintaining a clean and welcoming reception
What does World Gym Prospect need from me?
- A member-focused outlook and a passion for excellent service delivery
- Previous experience in the leisure/recreation industry preferable but not essential
- Highly organised and able to prioritise workload accordingly
- High level of attention to detail
- Proven sales experience and knowledge with drive to meet and exceed KPI's
- Experience with point of sale systems
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with staff and subcontractors.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to promote the services to members
- Adherence to all Work Health and Safety policies, practices, procedures, and legislation
- HR policy / procedure & recruitment experience preferred but not essential
