VSL as a member of Bouygues Construction, operates worldwide in a network of some 50 locations, and is a leading specialist in the field of post tensioning, complex pre-casting, bridge construction, specialist foundations, bridge and asset remediation, and related construction techniques. VSL Australia is an expert in post-tensioning systems for civil engineering structures and buildings. VSL Australia is currently recruiting for a project-based Mechanical Supervisor in Melbourne.

Working as part of the commercial team of a joint venture on a ground engineering project in Melbourne, the Mechanical Supervisor shall play a key role in leading equipment maintenance, coordinating heavy geotechnical machinery (drilling rigs, grouting units), and ensuring site safety. Your role will see you:

- Lead on-site plant maintenance, managing equipment reliability, ensuring strict HSE compliance.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose complex heavy ground engineering equipment.




- Manage daily maintenance and repairs for heavy ground engineering plant and equipment.
- Supervise on-site mechanics, fitters, and service personnel.
- Ensure compliance with all site health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Coordinate planned servicing and urgent field breakdowns to reduce downtime.

Skills

- Strong background in heavy civil construction, piling, or ground stabilization plant.
- Set up recent equipment such as Liebherr and Bauer
- Preventive and corrective maintenance follow-up of machines
- Sound English writing skills
- Ability to work autonomously and proactively
- Strong attention to detail
- Current driver’s license and White Card.
