Telecommunications Riggers – Experienced & Junior Opportunities

Are you an experienced Telecommunications Rigger looking for your next challenge? Or are you keen to build a long-term career in the telecommunications industry and ready to learn from some of the best?

JJ Communications provides specialised telecommunications services to Australia's major carriers and infrastructure providers, and we're looking for both experienced and junior Telecommunications Riggers to join our growing team.

Whether you're already leading complex installations or just starting your career, you'll be part of a supportive crew where safety, teamwork and quality workmanship come first.

Full training will be provided to the right junior applicants.

We have both full-time and casual positions available.

Reporting to the Team Leader, you'll work on a variety of telecommunications projects, helping keep Australia connected.

What You'll Do

- Rig, install, test and maintain telecommunications equipment on towers and other high structures.
- Assist with the installation, maintenance and commissioning of telecommunications infrastructure.
- Follow client specifications, industry standards and HSE requirements.
- Read and interpret construction and as-built drawings (or learn to with on-the-job training).
- Complete site documentation and submit photos and job records.
- Work closely with other team members and contractors to deliver quality outcomes.

We're Looking For

Experienced Riggers

You’ll ideally have:

- Previous telecommunications rigging experience.




- Strong knowledge of rigging equipment and safe work practices.
- The ability to work independently and mentor junior team members.
- Experience reading construction drawings and solving problems on site.

Junior Riggers

You don't need years of experience - we're looking for people with the right attitude.

If you're reliable, hardworking and willing to learn, we'll provide the support, training and mentoring to help you build a successful career in telecommunications.

You’ll bring:

- A genuine commitment to safety.
- A positive, can-do attitude.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Physical fitness and confidence working at heights (or willingness to undertake training).
- Current Driver's Licence.
- Willingness to travel and work away from home when required.
- Australian work rights.

Highly Desirable

- Construction White Card.
- Certificate in Rigging (Basic, Intermediate or Advanced).
- Work Safely at Heights & Tower Rescue.
- High Risk Work Licence.
- Elevated Work Platform (EWP) competency.
- First Aid Certificate.
- Current Victorian Police Check.
