RAYA PTY LTD The Manager will manage the day-to-day operations of 1809 Café and ensure that its services are delivered efficiently and consistently. The role will oversee sales performance, staffing, stock control, supplier relationships, promotions, budgeting and customer satisfaction.

Task & responsibilities

Manage the daily operations of the café across dine-in, takeaway and delivery services. Determine the appropriate product and ingredient needs and levels for the Cafe's operation Monitor customer preferences, sales trends and staff performance. Coordinate purchasing, supplier orders, stock replenishment and inventory control. Work with suppliers to maintain ingredient quality, availability and reasonable purchasing costs. Assist in setting and reviewing the retail prices of food, drinks and other products. Develop and implement promotions, loyalty initiatives and upselling strategies. Monitor sales revenue, operating expenses, labour costs, wastage and business performance. Prepare and manage operational budgets and assist with revenue and expense forecasting. Maintain accurate records of stock levels, cash transactions, POS reports and financial reconciliations. Manage cash handling, end-of-day balancing and the investigation of transaction discrepancies. Recruit, roster,



train, supervise and support front-of-house and retail service staff. Monitor staff performance and ensure employees maintain professional customer-service standards. Controlling takeaway and delivery platforms Coordinate group bookings, promotional activities and small café events where required. Ensure compliance with food-safety, hygiene, workplace health and safety and other applicable retail and hospitality regulations. Identify operational problems and implement improvements to service, workflow and profitability.

Qualification & experience

Applicants must demonstrate: Bachelor or Master of Hospitality Management, Business Management or a related discipline; Australian Qualifications are highly regarded. Relevant experience managing or supervising retail, café or hospitality operations in Australia. Strong operational-management skills, including the ability to maintain service standards and resolve operational issues. Excellent in customer service and managing customer complaints. Experience with staff recruitment, rostering, training and supervision. Experience managing stock, supplier orders, inventory levels and wastage. Sound financial-management skills, including cash handling, account reconciliation, budgeting and operational reporting. Strong sales,



promotion and loyalty-program capabilities. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills (IELTS 7.5+). Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment. Proven time-management, multitasking and problem-solving skills. Experience using POS, reservation, inventory-management or other hospitality software. Australian experience ( 3+ years) Availability to work across a seven-day roster, including weekends and public holidays when required. Experience in marketing, coordinating events, group bookings or promotional projects will be highly regarded.
