The Prospect
The Senior Corrosion Engineer position is a senior position in the delivery team. You will be responsible for providing sound and timely cathodic protection expertise and project Corrosion Engineer, you will also provide mentoring and training to our team, support the development of new relationships and provide a high level of service to our key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and retention of a highly motivated, enjoyable and passionate Network Services team.
- Develop and manage an internal quality assurance and design management process.
- Autonomous management and successful delivery of customer projects and expansion of work portfolio.
- Provide sound engineering design and delivery in accordance with all business, client, and legislative requirements.
- Ability to produce quality tender submissions and quotations to customers.
- Maintaining high customer satisfaction and NPS for clients.
- Financial and contract management.
What You Bring
- Tertiary education in a suitable field (Corrosion, Materials, Chemical, Electrical).
- CPENG and RPEV accreditation or the want to obtain these.
- In depth experience working with various Corrosion Standards.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in corrosion and cathodic protection. This includes field-based work.
- Proficient utilisation and understanding of advanced corrosion protection technologies.
- Strong commercial acumen, ability to understand and manage financial and contract terms.
- The ability to mentor and motivate peers and confidence in handling complex technical matters
- A proven ability to communicate verbally and in writing with their managers, peers, subordinates, landowners and the community in general
Other Role-Specific Requirements
- Ability to obtain required security and police checks
- Travel remotely for works on occasion
- NACE/AMP/ACA Technologist Accreditation
- The role is based in Powerplant Network Services’ Altona North office.
