Auto Car Sales Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanic to join our automotive service team. This is a full-time position based in Hoppers Crossing, VIC 3029. As a Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing vehicles to the highest standards, ensuring customer satisfaction and safety whilst contributing to the smooth operation of our service department. This position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse range of vehicles and demonstrate your technical expertise in a fast-paced automotive environment.

Key responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles, including servicing, oil changes, brake inspections, and fluid replacements

Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems using diagnostic tools and equipment, and determine appropriate solutions

Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify issues and prepare accurate repair quotes for customers

Execute repairs and maintenance work to manufacturer specifications and industry standards

Maintain detailed service records and documentation for all work completed

Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair requirements, timelines, and costs

Ensure workshop cleanliness, safety compliance, and proper tool and equipment maintenance

Collaborate with colleagues to meet service targets and maintain efficient workflow

What we're looking for

Certificate III or IV in Automotive Mechanical Technology or equivalent qualification and practical experience





Proven experience as a qualified mechanic with a strong track record in vehicle repair and maintenance

Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and contemporary mechanical tools

Strong knowledge of vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, braking systems, and electrical systems

Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex mechanical issues

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a busy service environment

Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship

Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach

Current First Aid certification is desirable
