Landscape Estimators Wanted

About the Client

Our clients are well-established commercial landscaping contractors with solid reputations for delivering high-quality landscape construction and civil infrastructure projects across Sydney and the Illawarra. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, they are looking to appoint experienced Landscape Estimators to join their teams in Seven Hills, Petersham, and Wollongong.

Working with leading builders, developers, councils, and government clients, these businesses deliver a diverse range of commercial landscaping, public domain, streetscape, education, civil, and infrastructure projects.

About the Role

Working closely with senior management and project teams, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders for commercial landscape and civil projects. These opportunities are ideal for experienced estimators looking to join reputable businesses with long-term career prospects, supportive cultures, and exciting pipelines of work.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets and tender submissions
- Complete detailed quantity take-offs from construction drawings and specifications
- Interpret landscape, civil and engineering plans
- Price landscape construction, earthworks, drainage, retaining walls, concrete, pavements and associated civil works
- Source and negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors
- Prepare Expressions of Interest (EOIs) and tender documentation




- Identify project risks and value engineering opportunities
- Manage tender clarifications and project variations
- Maintain estimating databases and cost libraries
- Prepare subcontractor packages and purchase orders
- Attend site inspections and client meetings where required
- Assist with project handovers to delivery teams
- Manage multiple tenders while meeting deadlines

Skills & Experience

- Previous estimating experience within commercial landscaping, civil construction or infrastructure
- Strong understanding of estimating principles, cost planning and construction methodologies
- Experience pricing commercial landscape construction and/or civil works
- Ability to interpret construction and engineering drawings
- Strong analytical, negotiation and organisational skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience with Buildsoft or similar estimating software highly regarded
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- White Card
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
