We offer a full range of hairdressing services to the public, as well as specialised services for people with hair loss and scalp conditions, including personalised hair pieces and treatments. Located within Sinclair Dermatology’s East Melbourne clinic, the salon works closely with dermatologists to support their patients, offering dedicated aftercare and consultations.

Description: About the Role: As a Hairdresser, based at our studio in East Melbourne, Australia, you will deliver high-quality hairdressing services to a range of clients, maintain strong client relationships, enhance the positive salon culture, and contribute to salon cleanliness and administrative tasks.

As a Hairdresser you will: Provide hair cutting, styling, colouring, and washing services.

Provide clients with tailored advice about the Kérastase product range

Schedule and manage customer appointments, ensuring efficiency and maximising productivity

Assist clients with their queries, and provide consultations when needed

Learn about treatments for hair loss and scalp conditions to support clinic patients

Unpack and restock deliveries in an orderly fashion

Ensure all equipment is in good working order

Maintain cleanliness and tidiness to the highest standards within the salon

Maintain records of all customer hair services and treatments





Communicate effectively in person, over the phone, and by email

Stay up to date with the latest hair techniques and new product releases This is a Permanent role based on-site from our studio in East Melbourne. The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $90,000 AUD plus superannuation. Applications from New Zealand-based candidates are encouraged.

About You: Minimum 5 years’ experience working as a Hairdresser, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional service A Certificate III in Hairdressing or equivalent qualification

Advanced skills in cutting, styling and colouring

Consistently deliver high-quality salon services while meeting client expectations and salon standards A willingness to learn about hair loss and scalp conditions from our specialist hairdressers and dermatologists; prior experience is desirable but not essential

Robust communication skills, including professional client interactions and positive collaboration with colleagues

Compassion and empathy for clients experiencing hair and scalp concerns.

Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to welcome clients, understand their needs, and manage enquiries or complaints professionally





Strong organisational skills, including appointment management and accurate record keeping A proactive attitude with a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.

Be willing to relocate to Melbourne, Australia (if applying from New Zealand) and work on-site from our studio.
