About the role:

We are looking for a Facilities Engineering Specialist,to join our teamatourWestern SydneyData Centre. This is a permanent role on a salary, includingbenefits associated with shift work.

This role is workingwithin arosteredshiftpattern, the team provides 24x7 coverage. Shift workonsitewill consist of:

4x12-hourshifts, a mix of days and nightsfollowed by 4 days off.

Additional leave day every 5 weeks.

20% Shift allowance on top of TRP.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Oversee datacentre security, includingphysical and access procedures, IT infrastructure, Data Centre Plant and Equipment maintenance / activities.

Identify faults and issues with data centreenvironmentand address where possible.Escalatingto relevant vendors or internal teams as required.

Assistingwithregular and ad hocmaintenance, efficiency and reliability of a large and technically complex data centre facility.

Leading and coordinating Incident management and supporting procedurereviews.

Assist with preparing monthly reporting,related tothedata hall environmental conditions, power usage and SLA adherence.

Managingrisk management around the DC and assess all WHS associated with the centre.

Engage with risk management. Identify, assess and address WHS hazards and incidents around the facility.

Liaise withclientsand serviceproviders as required during the coordination of facility maintenance.





Undertake customer remote hands, cross connections& remote console sessions.

Interactionwith carriersand service delivery.

Subcontractor management and supervision including maintenance, repair and new installations as required on a 24x7 basis.

Ensure Fujitsu Data Centre National Access Procedurearealways followed.

Requirements and Experience :

Come and be part of a close-knit team in Western Sydney reporting to the Data Centre Manager & Facilities Engineering Manager. This role has a huge variety of tasks and no two days will be the same!

To hit the ground running we are ideally looking for someone with:

Electrical,Mechanical,BMS qualificationspreferred,but not essential.

2 years previous experience working within a data centre or similar environment.

Understanding of structured cabling systems and cross connections.

Able to work independently and troubleshoot customer issues.

Experience in operational efficiencies and operational process creation and reviews.

Excellent customer service, communication skills and a 'can do' attitude.

Willing to learn new skills in a dynamic environment andever-changingenvironment.

Experience with MS 365 environments including excel, word, SharePoint.

Awareness of WHS principles.
