We are seeking a passionate, highly organised and motivated Accounts & Bookkeeping Officer to join our vibrant and hard-working team to help support the continued growth of our business. We want an enthusiastic candidate seeking a long-term career within a caring and supportive environment.
Reporting to the Managing Director and Operations Manager, the successful applicant will work as part of a collaborative team and be responsible for all matters relating to accounts and bookkeeping for the existing business. In addition, there is likelihood of starting a new related business and new product line within the existing business.
Duties involve:
- Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payrollprocesses including invoice processing, payments, banking and debt collection
- assisting withbank, credit card and cash reconciliations
- reconciling supplier invoices againstopen purchase orders
- running the monthly review and closing of completed purchase orders
- supportingCOGS tracking and month-end closing process
- supporting preparation of the monthly Profit & Loss and budget variance reporting
- creating credit notes and new invoices, etc when there is a variation on site
- maintaining accuratefinancial records and company systems
- collecting, collating and maintaining accurate, professional records of client interactions and information
- possible other admin tasks not directly related to accounts or bookkeeping
- assisting Management with specific tasks and projects from time to time
- relieving other staff positions during annual leave or absences when required
- being flexible and willing to assist with any other duties as required.
Requirements:
- full residential and working rights in Australia
- minimum2 years’ experiencein a bookkeeping, accounts or finance administration role
- sound understanding ofaccounting principles
- experience withaccounting software (Xero highly regarded)
- experience withCRM systems (Zoho highly regarded)
- exposure topurchase order / COGS reconciliation and month-end close
- familiarity with an inventory system is an advantage
- strongExcel and Microsoft Office skills
- excellentattention to detail and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- a positive attitude and genuine enthusiasm to develop and learn while following specific procedures
- a strong work ethic and exceptional attention to detail
- excellent customer service and relationship-building skills
- the ability to follow tasks through to completion while consistently meeting deadlines
- strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional approach

- initiative, flexibility and a proactive approach to problem solving.
We operate within the floor heating industry, however no industry experience is necessary.
