Hybrid Rentals is seeking a skilled Strip & Fit Technician / Light Panel Beater to join our automotive trades team on a full-time basis at our Riverwood, NSW workshop. This role is central to our vehicle maintenance and repair operations, ensuring our rental fleet remains in optimal condition and ready for customer bookings. As a key member of our trades department, you will play an essential role in maintaining the quality and safety standards of our vehicles, directly contributing to customer satisfaction and business operations.
Key responsibilities
- Strip and remove interior and exterior vehicle components with precision and care to facilitate repairs and maintenance
- Perform light panel beating and dent removal work to restore vehicles to their original condition
- Fit and reinstall vehicle components, ensuring proper alignment, secure fastening and functionality
- Conduct quality inspections of completed work to meet company and industry standards
- Diagnose damage and assess repair requirements, communicating findings to supervisors and team members
- Perform basic servicing and light maintenance on our rental fleet when required (oil service, filters, minor maintenance and general workshop duties) - training provided.
What we’re looking for
- Proven experience working as a strip and fit technician or light panel beater, ideally within the automotive rental or repair industry
- Demonstrated competency in panel beating techniques, including dent removal and minor bodywork restoration
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools and automotive diagnostic equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship
- Valid driver's licence and the ability to move vehicles safely within the workplace
- Knowledge of vehicle components and mechanical systems
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn new techniques
- Relevant automotive qualifications or certifications (desirable but not essential)
- Experience working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment (desirable)
