Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our workshop team.
About the Role
Working as part of a skilled manufacturing team based at Tomago, you will be responsible for the assembly and fitting of generator enclosures, structural components, equipment skids and associated infrastructure. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in quality workmanship and enjoys working on large-scale industrial projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Mechanical assembly and fitting of engineered enclosure systems
- Installation of mechanical components and support equipment
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and assembly instructions
- Using hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Conducting quality inspections to ensure compliance with specifications
- Working collaboratively with fabrication, welding and electrical teams
- Maintaining a safe and organised work environment
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter or relevant fitting experience
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial, mining, power generation or heavy engineering environments
- Robust mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
