FerMax Stone Pty Ltd is an Australian company established in 2012, specialising in the installation of premium wall and floor tiling, natural stone, porcelain and other high-quality surface finishes for residential and commercial projects. Since its establishment, the company has built a reputation for delivering quality workmanship, reliability and exceptional customer service across a wide range of projects. On behalf of our client, we are looking for an experienced and skilled Wall and Floor tiler to join our team on a full-time basis Position Responsibilities and Tasks

As a Wall and Floor Tiler, your duties will include, but will not be limited to:

- Interpret plans and specifications; confirm measurements, quantities, layout lines and levels prior to commencing tiling works.
- Measure, mark and set out surfaces using levelling equipment (including laser levels) to establish correct alignment, falls and datum lines.
- Measure, cut, shape and install custom heritage mosaic tiles and decorative stone finishes, ensuring accurate pattern alignment, preserving heritage design features and delivering high-quality workmanship in accordance with project specifications.
- Prepare wall and floor substrates by removing old tiles, grout and adhesives; filling holes and cracks; and cleaning/priming surfaces to ensure suitable adhesion and finish.
- Lay and fix tiles (including ceramic, clay, slate, marble, glass and similar materials) to internal and external walls and floors to achieve required patterns, alignment and tolerances.
- Apply adhesives and bedding materials to substrates and/or tile backs as required, ensuring correct coverage,



bonding and curing in line with product specifications.
- Cut, shape and fit tiles using hand and power tile-cutting tools to finish edges, corners and penetrations around fittings, pipes and fixtures.
- Maintain consistent alignment and spacing throughout installation, checking for lippage, level, line and falls, and adjusting as required during installation.
- Complete grouting, finishing and clean-down, including removing excess grout and presenting a consistent, defect-free surface finish.
- Support waterproofing outcomes by assisting with waterproofing preparation/detailing and coordinating tiling works with waterproofing stages and inspection hold points, ensuring correct detailing at junctions and penetrations in wet areas and external areas.
- Undertake substrate preparation activities that support tiling quality (e.g., grinding, levelling and surface preparation), and coordinate transitions/interfaces with epoxy or other protective floor finishes where required by project scope.
- Work collaboratively on major construction sites across Sydney/NSW, liaising with site foremen and project managers regarding sequencing, access, quality inspections and program timeframes.
- Maintain compliance with WHS requirements, including safe manual handling, correct PPE use, silica dust controls and safe operation of plant and tools used for cutting and surface preparation.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling or relevant trade qualification.
- At least two years of relevant experience.
- Sound knowledge of wall and floor tiling techniques and installation methods.
- Experience working with ceramic, porcelain, marble, granite and natural stone products.
- Ability to read and interpret plans and technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.

Salary: The role offers a remuneration package of $80,000 - $90,000 per annum, plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
