We are looking for a Casual Medical Receptionist to join our friendly team. Up to 20 hours a week (3-4 days) and 1 in 3 Saturday mornings on offer.

We are a small but busy General Practice based in Morpeth. We are a dedicated close administration team working closing with the doctors. We have a relaxed working environment with a reputation for our professionalism and compassion.

This is a casual role that will involve providing administrative support to our busy medical practice. As part of your role you will have the opportunity to work in a supportive, patient-focused workplace and contribute to the smooth running of our operations.

What you'll be doing:

- Greeting and welcoming patients upon arrival
- Scheduling and managing patient appointments
- Assisting with patient record management and data entry
- Handling incoming phone calls and correspondence
- Providing general administrative support to the practice team
- Maintaining a high level of customer service and professionalism
- Medicare and Patient billing (Tyro System)




- Maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy at all times

Requirements:

- Experience in medical reception is not essential but an advantage
- Experience using Best Practice is not essential but an advantage
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multi-task and prioritise effectively
- A genuine interest in healthcare and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact with patients and colleagues in a friendly and professional manner
- Must have ability to be flexible with working hours
- Exceptional work ethic and the want to be part of a team
- Reliability and punctuality
- Professional customer service
- Confidentiality is a must
- Willingness to obtain CPR Certificate and Triage Training

Our clinic is open from 8am till 6.30pm. Shifts on offering are both opening shifts and closing shifts.
