About the Role
Reporting to the firm's senior advisers, you will play a key role in delivering financial planning services to a broad client base. Depending on your experience level, you will either be supporting advice delivery through high-quality paraplanning work or managing your own client relationships from end to end.
The practice holds a strong reputation in the region and continues to grow. You will be walking into an established book with genuine long-term clients, supported by a collaborative team who take pride in what they do.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare comprehensive Statements of Advice (SOAs) and Records of Advice (ROAs) across a range of strategic and product areas
- Conduct research and analysis to support client recommendations including investment, superannuation, insurance, and estate planning strategies
- Liaise with clients to gather information and support advice implementation
- Manage ongoing client relationships and review meetings (for those stepping into a planner capacity)
- Maintain accurate client records and ensure compliance with regulatory obligations
- Collaborate closely with the accounting team to deliver integrated client outcomes
- Stay current with legislative changes, product updates, and industry developments
Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Financial Planning, Commerce, or a related discipline
- Completion of, or progress toward, FASEA education requirements (or equivalent under current standards)
- Experience in a financial planning or paraplanning role within an Australian practice
- Solid understanding of superannuation, investments, risk insurance, and personal advice obligations
- Proficiency with financial planning software (Xplan experience highly regarded)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly
- A genuine interest in building long-term client relationships in a regional setting
