Macquarie Health Corporation (MHC) is a leading private hospital group with 12 hospitals across Sydney and Melbourne, providing surgical, rehabilitation, medical and mental health services.

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Governance & Risk Coordinator to work with our Hospital Directors, Directors of Nursing and Quality teams to strengthen clinical governance, risk management, accreditation readiness and continuous improvement across the Group.

Reporting directly to the CEO, this is a unique corporate role that partners with hospitals to promote consistency, compliance and best practice. Responsibility for patient care delivery remains with individual Hospital Directors and local leadership teams. Your role will be to support, coordinate and monitor governance activities across the Group.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate clinical governance and risk management activities across the Group.

Support hospitals to maintain accreditation readiness and compliance with NSQHS Standards and regulatory requirements.

Monitor governance, risk, quality and compliance data and prepare reports for the CEO.

Maintain corporate clinical governance frameworks, policies and procedures.

Coordinate the Group's education and learning management platforms, including mandatory training compliance.

Support quality improvement, incident management and risk mitigation initiatives.

Assist hospitals with audits, self-assessments, accreditation surveys and compliance reviews.

Promote sharing of best practice, resources and successful initiatives across hospitals.

Support infection prevention and control programs and monitoring activities.

Conduct regular visits to hospitals to build relationships and support local teams.





About You

You are a collaborative and highly organised healthcare professional who can work effectively with clinicians, managers and executives. You enjoy helping teams achieve outcomes and can influence through strong relationships rather than direct authority.

Demonstrated experience overseeing or coordinating clinical governance, quality and risk activities within a hospital environment .

Sound understanding of the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards and accreditation requirements.

Knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance requirements and clinical governance principles.

Understanding of assessment, audit and review processes , including internal audits, gap analyses and accreditation preparedness.

Knowledge of infection prevention and control principles , standards and compliance requirements.

Experience developing, reviewing and maintaining policies, procedures and governance documentation.

Strong analytical, reporting and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and relationship-building abilities.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to coordinate activities across multiple sites.

Experience within a private hospital setting.

Experience supporting accreditation surveys and regulatory reviews.

Qualifications or training in quality improvement, auditing, risk management or healthcare governance.

Experience working across multiple healthcare facilities.
