The Role

We are seeking a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment and is driven by results, customer satisfaction, and team development. Your primary mission will be to operate an efficient, profitable, and successful store while guiding your team to reach new heights in sales performance and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Drive Performance: Lead by example to ensure both individual and team sales objectives are consistently achieved or exceeded.

Store Operations & Compliance: Maintain compliance and uphold the highest standards in store operations, merchandising, stock control, branding guidelines, and workplace health and safety.

Staff Development: Motivate, train, and mentor sales staff to enhance store performance and foster personal growth. Build a culture of continuous learning where team members are empowered to develop their skills and maximise their potential.

Business Development:



Proactively identify new business opportunities within the local market. Devise and implement innovative strategies to attract customers, drive foot traffic, and expand revenue channels.

Performance Appraisals: Conduct regular performance reviews to assess training needs, recognise achievements, and nurture career development for your team.

Issue Resolution: Take ownership of any staff or customer-related issues, ensuring prompt, effective, and empathetic resolution. Uphold the reputation of the store and the BSR Group by handling concerns swiftly and professionally.

Required Experience & Attributes:

Proven Retail Management: Demonstrated success as a retail manager, preferably within the electrical, furniture, or home appliance sectors.

Exceptional Customer Service: A passion for providing positive, memorable experiences to every customer.

Rostering & Wage Control: Experience in preparing efficient rosters, managing wage costs, and ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet business demands.

Team Leadership: The ability to inspire, lead, and develop a diverse team. You are adept at setting clear expectations, motivating others, and nurturing a collaborative work setting.

Conflict Resolution: Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to mediate and resolve conflicts constructively.

Stocktaking: Hands-on experience in stocktake procedures, inventory management, and loss prevention. You ensure accurate record-keeping and maintain optimal stock levels.

Visual Merchandising: A keen understanding of visual merchandising techniques, ensuring the store is always presented in an appealing and brand-appropriate way to maximise sales opportunities.
