What you'll be doing
Thoroughly assess mortgage applications, including income, assets, liabilities and credit history
Prepare detailed credit assessments and financial analysis to support lending decisions
Collaborate with the lending team to provide recommendations on loan approvals and mitigate risks
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all credit assessments and supporting documentation
Continuously monitor changes in credit policies, regulations and market conditions to ensure compliance
Provide exceptional customer service and respond to client inquiries in a timely manner
What we're looking for
Relevant tertiary qualification in finance, economics, accounting or a related field
Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a credit analysis or lending role, preferably within the mortgage industry
Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial information
Excellent attention to detail and a thorough, methodical approach to credit assessment
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and provide clear, concise recommendations
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in using relevant mortgage and credit assessment software
Experience with industry standard mortgage and credit assessment tools is essential
Australian citizenship is required for this position
