Key Responsibilities
- Provide end-to-end legal support across client engagements, from structuring and establishment through to execution and ongoing advisory
- Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial and transactional documents, including lending agreements, shareholder agreements, trusts, and commercial contracts
- Partner closely with accounting and advisory teams on new client opportunities, structuring strategies, and complex transactions
- Deliver commercially focused legal advice across structuring, asset protection, succession planning, and business transactions
- Identify and manage legal risks, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and internal governance standards
- Develop and apply legal precedents, templates,
and frameworks to improve consistency and efficiency
- Conduct legal research and remain up to date with legislative and regulatory developments, proactively advising on emerging risks and opportunities
- Support internal teams through training and knowledge sharing on legal considerations impacting clients (including compliance and structuring matters)
- Contribute to the development of legal processes, systems, and technology to enhance service delivery
- Work autonomously on day-to-day matters, escalating complex or strategic issues where required
About You
- Admission to practice in Australia with an unrestricted practising certificate
- 2–5 years’ post-admission experience in commercial and corporate law
- Exposure to structuring, commercial transactions, or advisory-driven legal work (highly regarded)
- Experience with LEAP or similar practice management systems (preferred)
- Ability to deliver clear, pragmatic, and commercially focused advice to non-legal stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-centric mindset
- Effective time management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
- High levels of professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment when handling sensitive matters
