Who we are

Master Trades Association helps experienced tradespeople convert years of on-site work into nationally recognised qualifications through Recognition of Prior Learning: Certificate III in Carpentry, Plumbing, Cabinet Making, Painting, and the pathway up to Cert IV and Diploma for a builder's licence.

No classroom. No time off the tools. Just a legitimate, ASQA-compliant assessment of skills these blokes already have.

The role

You're on the phone with tradies who've put their hand up wanting to get qualified. Your job is to work out what they actually need, map it to their licensing goal, and help them commit to it.

Day to day:

- Work booked appointments and warm enquiries - brickies, chippies, plumbers, landscapers, builders.
- Qualify against QBCC and state licensing requirements so nobody gets sold the wrong thing
- Consult properly - most of these guys have wanted this for years and never known where to start
- Close the deal and hand off cleanly to Student Support




- Manage your own pipeline and follow-up

This isn't a call centre. There's no script police. You'll have structure, training and a system behind you, but you own your numbers.

Real development. You'll be coached directly by our Director — someone who personally wrote over $1m a year on the phone. If you want to get better at sales, this is the room to be in. We invest in training, and we expect you to be the kind of person who actually wants it.

Who we're looking for

You’ll come from one of these three worlds:

- Trade or construction — you've been on the tools and you speak the language. Tradies can smell a fake in about four seconds.
- RTO / VET sector — you know RPL, units of competency, ASQA, and/or how licensing actually works.
- Sales — you’ve closed over the phone before and you’ve got the runs on the board.

More important than any of that:

- You want to get better at something, and you take coaching well
- You've got a bit of personality - this team runs on banter and it doesn't work if you're a wallflower
- You're resilient. Some days the phone is a grind. You pick it up anyway.
- You want commission-only because you back yourself, not because you had no other option
- Australian work rights, and you're on the Sunshine Coast or willing to be.
