The Role

As Safety Advisor, reporting to the General Manager – Human Resources, you will play a key role in the development and implementation of safety strategies, programs and initiatives. You will drive proactive safety outcomes by collaborating with frontline teams and leaders to influence our positive safety culture for our workforce of around 1,000 staff. Your expert guidance will help ensure legislative compliance for our business operations, providing leadership and support for risk management, and generating solution‑focused recommendations for continuous improvement.

About You

- A Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety with at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role as the minimum requirements. Diploma or degree level qualifications will be highly regarded.
- Current WHSO accreditation and experience in delivering formal WHSO audits is preferred.
- Current First Aid & CPR certification, or the willingness to obtain.
- Able to demonstrate a proactive and practical approach to safety, you will help our teams to effectively balance compliance requirements with operational needs.
- Sound understanding of safety legislation, standards, best practice in risk management and safety systems.
- Demonstrate confident communication skills, ability to provide advice, facilitate consultation, coaching, group training, build effective relationships and influence others.
- Robust computer literacy, exceptional attention to detail,



able to manage competing priorities while delivering high-quality outcomes.
- Formal training in incident investigations (e.g. ICAM Facilitation) and/or root cause analysis methods will be an advantage.
