APG Workforce are currently seeking an experienced Graphic Designer (AO5) to join the Customer & Stakeholder Management team within the North Queensland Region.
About the Role
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality design solutions across print, digital and video to support stakeholder and community engagement initiatives. You’ll work closely with internal teams and leadership to translate complex information into engaging and accessible visual content.
- Office-based in Cairns or Townsville with flexible work arrangements available following an initial probation period.
- 12-month contract with potential 12-month extension
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver high-quality visual communication materials aligned with strategic objectives
- Provide expert design and digital communication advice to stakeholders and internal teams
- Design and produce a wide range of materials including publications, social media content, videos, presentations, and advertisements
- Translate complex information into clear, engaging visual solutions
- Manage multiple projects and competing priorities to meet deadlines
- Ensure all outputs align with branding,
accessibility standards, and quality expectations
- Liaise with external suppliers including printers, videographers, and designers
- Contribute to continuous improvement of design processes and standards
- Collaborate across teams to ensure consistency and best practice design delivery
About You
- Robust proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere Pro) and Microsoft Office
- Experience delivering creative solutions within corporate or government environments
- Solid understanding of branding guidelines and visual communication principles
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a high-volume environment
- Strong attention to detail, organisation and time management skills
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) is highly regarded
Desirable Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in graphic or visual design
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Graphic Design or similar
- Experience working within government environments or knowledge of government processes
