The Opportunity
As a Production Scheduler, you will support the day-to-day coordination of workshop schedules and work orders. You will learn how production priorities are managed, how workflow is monitored and how internal teams work together to meet customer and operational requirements. located in Castle Hill, NSW .
This role offers hands‑on exposure to production planning and scheduling processes, with support and training to help you build confidence and capability over time.
Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting with the development and maintenance of daily, weekly and monthly workshop schedules in line with production plans and business priorities
Reviewing and helping prioritise work orders based on due dates, urgency, team capacity, workload, material availability and operational requirements
Supporting on‑time delivery by monitoring workflow, work‑in‑progress and potential delays
Coordinating job status updates with production teams, customer service, claims and other internal stakeholders
Issuing work orders for picking, scheduling warranty work and helping ensure completed jobs are closed accurately and on time in the system
Learning how to identify and elevate risks that may affect schedule performance, labour capacity, materials, quality or customer commitments
Contributing ideas to improve scheduling, workflow, communication and work order processes
Ensuring all activities are completed in line with Parker safety standards, quality requirements and relevant compliance obligations
Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Strong organisational and time‑management skills
Good attention to detail and accuracy
A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
The ability to prioritise tasks and manage competing deadlines
Clear and professional communication skills
Confidence working with internal teams and asking questions when needed
Basic to intermediate Microsoft Office skills, particularly Microsoft Excel
An interest in manufacturing, operations, production planning, logistics or supply chain
The ability to identify issues, contribute to solutions and elevate when required
Previous experience in a manufacturing, scheduling, customer service, administration, warehouse, logistics or operations environment would be helpful, but is not essential.
Qualifications and Desirable Experience
The following will be highly regarded:
A post‑secondary qualification in manufacturing, operations, supply chain, logistics, business or a related field
Exposure to Lean manufacturing
Experience with ERP/MRP systems
Knowledge of production control processes
Understanding of production scheduling and workshop operations
Understanding of work order processes,
status control and job close‑out requirements
Ability to convert production plans into effective day‑to‑day scheduling actions
