About the role





The Digital and Archival Information Assistant provides hands-on support across digital archives and records management activities, ensuring the effective management, preservation, accessibility, and integrity of both digital and physical records.

Reporting to the Digital and Archival Information Services Manager, this role supports internal information systems such as SharePoint and iManageRM (Records Manager), assists with data migration from legacy systems, and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives across archives and records processes.

You will assist with digitisation projects, metadata capture, classification and indexing, records retrieval and refiling, and responses to internal and external research enquiries. The role also supports appraisal, retention, and disposal activities in line with Archdiocesan policies and Information & Archives standards.

This is a full-time position based in Leichhardt, working as part of a collaborative and professional specialist team.

About You

You are a detail-oriented and methodical professional with an interest or background in archives, records management, or information services. Ideally,



you bring experience working with digital and/or physical records and have a sound understanding of information management systems, processes, and standards.

You work well both independently and as part of a team, manage competing priorities effectively, and approach your work with discretion and professionalism. You are comfortable working with internal stakeholders, researchers, and Technology Services colleagues and take pride in delivering high-quality, client-focused service.

You are aligned with the ethos and values of the Catholic Church and are committed to confidentiality, integrity, and responsible stewardship of information. Qualifications in records management, archives, library, or information studies (or working towards them) will be highly regarded.
