Automatic Gate Installer / Field Service Technician (4 DAY WEEK)

Be rewarded for practical common sense and logic. Work with other down to earth installers and field service technicians. Your role will be the installation of our custom fabricated projects and automation equipment as well as undertaking repairs and servicing. Your role will encompass a broad range of tasks ensuring you'll never get bored!

Your duties can include (but not limited to):

- Installing & programming electric gate motors, safety beams, keypad and other access control equipment

- Installing automated boom gates, driveway gates, anti-terror bollards and safety accessories

- Minor civil works for site preparation such as low volt cabling, conduit runs and post installation

- Troubleshooting of installed equipment

- Assisting in other areas of the business such as the fabrication workshop and warehouse as and when required

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE PREFERRED HOWEVER, AS LONG AS YOU HAVE THE RIGHT APTITUDE WE CAN TEACH YOU

The following attributes are essential;

- Genuine desire to work, learn and progress

- Positive attitude

- Eye for detail and take pride in your work

- Current manual drivers license

- Valid C class car licence required for driving company vehicles

- Experience within a trade, handyman or technical field role. Skills from other industries are often compatible for this role

- Ability to work independently and meet established deadlines

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Proven problem solving and analytical skills

- Strong customer service orientation

- Ability to communicate with clear English

- Safety conscious with good understanding of OH&S; requirements

- Ability to manage a field service app-based job system

Highly regarded, but not essential;

- Experience in the gate, access control or aligned industry

- Electro/mechanical fault-finding – Diagnostic skills

- Qualified Electrician or Restricted Electrical License

- Experience in 12 & 24v control boards – an advantage
