NDIS Support Coordinator / Psychosocial Recovery Coach

Beyond Care is looking to recruit a NDIS Support Coordinator/Recovery Coach to assist participants who require services under their NDIS plan. To enhance lives of participants, assisting them to achieve their goals and live their best lives.

As a Support Coordinator, you will be responsible for assisting National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) participants in activating, interpreting and implementing their NDIS Plans, with a strong focus on seeing participants move towards their NDIS goals. You will work closely with NDIS participants and their families/guardians to connect with individual services and supports outlined in their NDIS Plan, ensuring they get most out of their funding and achieve desired outcomes. This Contractual position provides an chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients.

Responsibilities

- Work in consultation with participants and their families to find the services and supports that match their needs and funding.
- Research, coordinate and manage a range of supports to suit individual needs.
- Respond to new support co‑ordination enquiries for new participants.
- Meet their goals and exercise choice in obtaining supports that assist them in pursuing their own lifestyles.
- Provide support to participants to increase their independence, social participation, and economic participation so they can take more control of their lives and better manage complex challenges of day‑to‑day living.
- Assist participants, families and carers to connect with services both mainstream and within disabilities.
- Develop, monitor, review and report on your participant’s NDIS plans and share progress with key stakeholders.
- Work within the funding allocated and regularly monitor and track billable coordination hours.




- Build and maintain relationships with our clients, their families, staff, peers, other services and stakeholders.

The Psychosocial Recovery Coach role

- Developes recovery‑enabled relationships, based on hope.
- Support NDIS participants with recovery planning.
- Coaches NDIS participants to increase recovery skills and personal capacity, including motivation, strengths, resilience and decision‑making.
- Support NDIS participants to engage with the NDIS.

About You

- Beyond Care is looking for a candidate with a genuine desire to support individuals with disabilities lead exceptional lives. This is an important role within Beyond Care, and we are looking for candidate with the following:
- Strong knowledge of the NDIA, NDIS plans and funding categories.
- Qualifications in Social Work, Allied Health, Case Management or equivalent experience is desirable.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in mental health, health or welfare degree, or Cert IV in mental health and substantial years of relevant experience, or equivalent level of expertise attained through previous employment, service, and study.
- Demonstrated skills in psychosocial recovery coaching and person‑centred care.
- Sound IT competence with Microsoft programs, Consumer Management Systems, electronic timesheets, and ability to adapt to current systems as they are introduced.
- Ability to manage and deliver to multiple deadlines.
- Current Australian drivers licence and car.
- Clear, effective communication skills both written and verbal.
- Highly computer literate.

Successful Candidates will have to undergo Working with Children’s check and NDIS workers screening check.
