We are keen to connect with Geriatric Medicine Registrars interested in joining a regional referral hospital in Victoria. This role offers broad exposure to the assessment and management of older adults across inpatient, outpatient and multidisciplinary settings, with opportunities to develop skills in comprehensive geriatric assessment, perioperative medicine, cognitive disorders, falls, frailty and rehabilitation.
Working within a supportive physician team, you will collaborate closely with consultants and multidisciplinary health professionals while contributing to the care of patients with complex medical and psychosocial needs. The position provides a balance of supervised clinical responsibility and opportunities to further develop your general physician and geriatric medicine capabilities.

Training & Development
Training is centred on developing confidence in the management of complex older patients within a well-supported clinical environment.
Subject to the hospital's approved training program,
opportunities may include:
- Direct consultant supervision and regular clinical teaching.
- Experience in comprehensive geriatric assessment.
- Exposure to cognitive disorders, delirium, falls, frailty and rehabilitation medicine.
- Multidisciplinary team meetings and coordinated discharge planning.
- Participation in audit, quality improvement and educational activities where available.
- Development of skills relevant to Advanced Physician Training in Geriatric Medicine.

Requirements
- Eligible for registration with AHPRA.
