ENV Solutions is looking for a practical, hands‑on Plant & Site Operations Manager to take ownership of our Ballina yard operations, equipment readiness, asset control and site logistics.

This is a key role for someone who knows how to keep people, plant, equipment, tools, materials and logistics moving safely and efficiently. You will be the practical link between the yard and on site, making sure crews have what they need, when they need it, and that our yard runs safely, cleanly and professionally.

This is not an office only role. We are looking for a seasoned field professional with strong organisation, calm judgement, practical leadership and good process discipline.

Role responsibilities:

- Leading and coordinating yard‑based employees and assigned site personnel.
- Maintaining a safe, clean, organised and professional yard.
- Coordinating plant, vehicles, tools, materials, consumables and logistics for field work.
- Ensuring equipment is inspected, serviced, maintained, repaired, traceable and ready for use.
- Travelling to project sites to support mobilisation and demobilisation, including preparation, dispatch, return, inspection, cleaning and storage.
- Coordinating suppliers, subcontractors, service providers, transport providers, operators and trades.
- Ensuring hazardous chemicals, materials and waste streams are stored, handled, labelled and segregated safely.
- Supporting safe work practices, SWMS, JSAs, permits, pre‑starts, toolbox talks and inspections.
- Improving yard systems, asset tracking, maintenance planning, stock control and dispatch processes.

Experience,



skills and qualifications we're looking for:

- You may come from a trade, yard, civil, construction, transport, plant, equipment hire, environmental services, logistics, workshop or field operations background.
- Practical experience in a yard, site, workshop, construction, environmental services, logistics, plant, trade or similar operational environment.
- Experience supervising or coordinating employees, trades, contractors, operators, drivers or site‑based personnel.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to track multiple jobs, people, plant, equipment, materials and deadlines.
- Experience coordinating asset maintenance, equipment readiness, servicing, inspections and defect management.
- A strong safety focus and the ability to apply practical controls.
- Confidence giving clear instructions, following up issues and escalating risks early.
- Basic computer skills, including digital forms, registers, spreadsheets, email and business systems.

Highly regarded but not essential:

- Experience in environmental services, dewatering, pumping, spill response, containment or field‑based environmental works.
- Trade background, particularly plumbing, mechanical fitting, pump maintenance, civil,



construction, fabrication or similar practical trade experience.
- Experience maintaining or troubleshooting pumps, hoses, fittings, plant, vehicles, tools or field equipment.
- Confined space competency.
- Truck licence.
- Crane operator licence.
- Elevated Work Platform competency.
- Poly welding ticket.
- Experience coordinating small works, urgent operational tasks, multi‑site support or field logistics.
- Experience working with suppliers, subcontractors, transport providers and service technicians.
- Experience using asset management systems.
