Palmwoods Hotel and Beerwah Hotel are two busy family owned hotels in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland with a great reputation for reasonably priced, high quality food and is able to seat 250-300 people. We also have a third venue- Glasshouse Tavern, a smaller bistro style venues with seating of about 150 people.

The hotels require a first year just starting out apprentice AND second year apprentice chef.

These positions would be suited to a school leaver wanting to begin an apprenticeship or someone who is currently in their second year apprenticeship.

We are also willing to hire adult apprentices so if you have always dreamed of a career as a chef and thought you missed the boat, this may be your chance!

The successful applicant must have the desire to become an important part in a busy hotel/restaurant environment and must have the enthusiasm to learn from great chefs.

The successful applicants will have:

a high level of energy and motivation

be a "cool,



calm and collected" stable individual under pressure

be enthusiastic and passionate about food

be able to work as a team player

have a positive "can do" attitude with strong work ethic and strong communication skills

Have own reliable transport

available to work a 5 day roster over a 7 day week including nights, weekends, school and public holidays

Pay-

Salary is depending on apprentice year level and if they are junior or senior apprentice. This will be discussed at the interview.
