We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Female Disability Support Worker to join our growing team.

About the Role

As a Disability Support Worker with Harmony Care QLD , you will work alongside participants to support their individual goals, promote independence, encourage choice and control, and help them live meaningful and fulfilling lives.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Supporting participants with everyday living and independence
- Assisting with personal care
- Supporting meal planning and household tasks including assisting with daily routines
- Providing medication assistance where appropriately trained and authorised
- Completing accurate progress notes, shift reports, communication records, and incident reports
- Identifying and escalating changes in participant wellbeing, risks, incidents, or concerns
- Working collaboratively with people connected to the participant

- Reliable, punctual, and committed
- Respectful of participant choice, dignity, privacy, culture, and individuality
- A strong communicator and active listener
- Confident working independently while also being a solid team player




- Calm and adaptable in changing or challenging situations
- Comfortable supporting participants with a variety of needs

Successful applicants will be required to hold or obtain the relevant checks and requirements for the position, including:

- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current Working with Children Check/Blue Card where applicable
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Current Australian Driver Licence where required
- Current vehicle registration and appropriate insurance if using your personal vehicle for authorised participant transport
- Appropriate working rights in Australia

Highly Regarded

We would particularly love to hear from applicants who have:

- Previous experience as a Disability Support Worker
- Supported Independent Living (SIL) experience
- Mental health or psychosocial disability experience
- Experience supporting participants with complex needs

Flexible Casual Work That Fits Your Lifestyle

This is a casual Disability Support Worker position , with shifts available according to participant needs, your suitability, availability, and operational requirements.

Depending on your availability, shifts may include:

- Weekdays
- Evenings
- Public holidays
- Overnight shifts
- Short-notice shifts
