Lighthouse Furnishings is seeking an experienced Industrial Sewing Machinist to join our team in Seventeen Mile Rocks, Queensland. This is a casual role, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work on a variety of curtain and soft furnishings projects.
What you'll be doing
- Operate industrial sewing machines to produce high-quality curtains, blinds, cushions and other soft furnishings
- Perform finishing tasks such as hemming, edging and attaching trims
- Ensure all work meets strict quality standards
- Collaborate with the wider production team to meet deadlines
What we’re looking for
- Previous experience as an Industrial Sewing Machinist or Curtain Maker
- Robust attention to detail and ability to work accurately
- Competent in reading and interpreting technical specifications
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Familiarity with a range of industrial sewing machines and techniques
