Schmider Engineering Group are seeking Experienced Machinists to join our team.

About us

Schmider Engineering Group is one of Mount Isa’s longest-running Steel Fabrication and engineering companies, proudly celebrating 50 years of business in 2026. We are a one stop fabrication workshop carrying out works in multiple disciplines including Boilermaking, Fitting, Machining as well as Sandblasting & Painting.

Tasks & responsibilities

- General Machining & Fitting work
- Workshop based role
- Monday to Thursday Roster - Enjoy a better work/life balance (4 days on, 3 days off, overtime as required)

Qualifications & experience

- Previous experience with manual machines required.
- Able to read & interpret technical drawings
- Able to work independently as well as within a team setting
