Trainer and Assessor : Youthwork and Child Protection (CYFI)

Are you an experienced Trainer and Assessor looking for an exciting new opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people by training the next generation of Youth Workers? Skills Generation is seeking a dynamic and passionate Trainer and Assessor to join our team in Maroochydore, Queensland. This full-time role will see you delivering high-quality vocational training and assessment in the areas of youth work and child protection.

What you'll be doing:

- Providing support and guidance to students throughout their learning journey
- Assessing students' competency and providing comprehensive feedback to support their learning and development
- Ensuring all training materials and assessment tools are up-to-date and compliant with industry standards through validation activities
- Collaborating with the wider Education team to continuously improve the quality of our training programs
- Maintaining accurate student records and completing all necessary administrative tasks

What we're looking for:

- Relevant vocational qualification in youth work, community services or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Trainer and Assessor, preferably in the youth work or child protection sectors
- In-depth, current knowledge of youth work and child protection principles, practices and legislation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A collaborative and supportive approach to team work




- A commitment to continuous professional development and a desire to stay up-to-date with industry trends
- Robust classroom facilitation and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse learners would be highly regarded, but is not essential
- Located in Queensland, with the ability to attend onboarding training in Maroochydore
- Must hold or be willing and able to obtain a Blue Card

What we'll consider:

We welcome applications from experienced industry professionals who are interested in becoming a trainer, even if they do not yet hold a formal training and assessment qualification. Suitable candidates may be supported through a structured mentoring and supervision arrangement while they work towards their TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment Qualification.
