About the role

We are currently seeking a Maintenance Fitter to join our salad processing facility based in Wacol. In this busy and exciting role, you will utilize your Fitter expertise to maintain and enhance the performance of the plant and equipment.

You will provide first class flexible support to production requirements by undertaking planned preventative and reactive breakdown maintenance, whilst ensuring established health and safety procedures are continually followed.

Lifestyle roster is AM shift 5.00am – 5.00pm working 4 days one week and 3 days the next week.

Duties:

- Ensure compliance with One Harvest safety, health and environment requirements
- Proactively identify & coordinate preventative maintenance across the site
- Responsible for completion of planned maintenance tasks to ensure breakdowns are prioritised to meet production needs
- Provide technical support & training to machine operators for basic troubleshooting




- To provide detailed account of all work performed and logged in our CMMS (Mex)
- Investigate plant or equipment deficiencies that lead to out-of-spec finished goods
- Assist with ensuring BRC, and other standards are met

About You:

- Able to work effectively as part of a team to achieve common goals
- A proactive andenthusiastic attitude coupled with a great work ethic
- Mechanical Fitter Trade or equivalent
- Sound knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Repair, change and improve machinery while ensuring principles of HACCP & GMP are not compromised
- Welding, turning, sheet metal fabrication qualifications and skills ae highly regarded
- Robust fault finding and RCA skills with a proven focus on right first time
- Ability to work rotating rosters and weekends
