Wagga Wagga City Council are calling for applications from motivatedpeople who have previous labouring experience to join numerous locations ofCouncil. This is an ideal opportunityfor people accustomed to hands on work and are looking for a job that has lotsof variety.
Positions are casual and on an as needs basis. Applications will beretained on file to fill vacancies within our casual pool as they arisethroughout the year.
- Remunerationof $35.86 gross per hour (inclusive of casual loading) + superannuation (12%).
Pleasenote: Rates of pay for all Council employees aged between 15-18 years of ageare paid in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award 2023, Clause 32.Junior and Trainee Employment. For further information, please see Council’sJunior Rates of Pay Fact Sheet.
Duties of these positions may include but are not limitedto:
- General labouring;
- Fencing and litter control activities;
- Concrete and paving;
- Operating and maintaining items of plant,equipment, and tools.
What you will need to succeed:
- Have previous experience ina labouring position.
- Have a ClassC Drivers Licence (minimum).
- Have aGeneral Construction Induction Training Card (White).
- Can work well as part of a team.
- Are highly motivated, are driven toachieve and want to provide a service for the community.
- Are committed to WH&Srequirements; of the role.
In accordance with Work Health and Safety legislation, applicants are required to be vaccinated and provide evidence for Hepatitis B (Parks and Gardens) and Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B and Tetanus (Gregadoo Waste Management Centre) and evidence of Q-Fever is required for some areas of Council such as the Livestock Marketing Centre (LMC). All candidates will be required to provide evidence of the immunisation/s prior to commencement.
