Dental Assistant – Specialist Orthodontic Practice

Totally Ortho is under exciting new ownership and building something special. Led by our Principal Specialist Orthodontist, King’s College London trained, and a clinical teacher at the University of Sydney. We’re investing in the latest digital orthodontic technology and in the people who’ll help us deliver outstanding care. We’re looking for a sharp, energetic dental assistant to join us chairside and grow into everything modern orthodontics has to offer.

You’ll be at the heart of the clinical day; four-handed beside the orthodontist, running the technology, and helping every patient feel safe and cared for. We’ll invest in you: training, mentoring and real opportunities to master intraoral scanning, digital records, aligner workflows and orthodontic procedures. Who you are

- Fast, sharp and tech-savvy, comfortable with digital systems and keen to master recent ones.
- Meticulous with detail, especially in sterilisation, records and materials.
- Warm and reassuring with patients, especially children and teens.




- A team player who takes initiative and takes pride in doing things properly.
- Certificate III in Dental Assisting (or equivalent experience). Orthodontic experience is preferred but not essential. If you’re great and eager to learn, full training will be provided.

What you’ll do

- Provide skilled four-handed chairside assistance across orthodontic treatment.
- Operate and care for our digital technology; intraoral scanners, clinical photography, aligner workflows.
- Run sterilisation and infection control to the highest standard.
- Keep surgeries, stock and lab work seamless so every appointment runs on time.
- Support and reassure patients, and be a positive force in the team.
