The role

A vacancy now exists for a Business Manager to manage the northern research unit across NNSW and Qld. This diverse role fundamentally supports your regional managers and drives business.

Reporting to the National Business Manager, you will be responsible for:

- Developing and leading teams
- High quality trial execution
- Maintaining strong client relationships
- Achieving commercial targets
- Ensuring compliance with company policy and safety standards

This involves working closely with your team of two Regional Managers and associated regionally based operations / logistics staff. Being a management role, there is limited time in field and travelling.

The Person

The successful person will have the following skills and attributes:

- Leadership experience (build,



manage high performing teams)
- Excellent communications and stakeholder engagement skills
- Significant experience managing R&D; field trials across diverse crops and environments
- Ability to manage logistics (people, equipment, operations)
- Strong commercial acumen (budgeting, quoting, revenue generation)
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Agriculture/ Business /Commerce

You will likely have an established professional reputation with strong networks across industry, private and public sectors. A generous salary package including vehicle is on offer for the successful candidate. Toowoomba or Brisbane are ideal locations for this role, so would suit candidates with growing families requiring education, cultural or sporting facilities. You may have field trial work experience with crop protection or seed suppliers, rural retail distribution, university or government department research or Research Development Corporations (RDC’s) and now looking for a new challenge, to step up into a leadership role.
