About the Role:

We are looking for a casual Food Services Assistant for our Cardiff Heights aged care facility, Groves House, to work across our morning and afternoon shifts.

As a Food Services Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work in our kitchen assisting with catering tasks, preparing food and beverages and maintaining supplies under the direction of our Chef.

Responsibilities:

- Assist with the preparation and serving of meals

- Ensure correct portioning,



plating standards and serving temperatures

- Provide suitable alternatives to accommodate for residents with allergies and dietary requirements.

- Maintain a clean and tidy kitchen.

- Compliance with food safety, HACCP, infection control and WHS

- Exceptional customer service and communication skills

About You:

The ideal candidate must demonstrate the below:

- Cleared Police Check or willing to obtain.

- Be cleared in the Aged Care Banning Order register.

- MUST have proof of work rights in Australia.

- Up to date immunization including influenza and Covid 19.

- Previous work in café or restaurant with knowledge in infection control and food safety

- A current Food Handling Certificate (desirable)

- Previous work in aged care or healthcare catering experience (desirable)

- Good communication skills

- A positive attitude with a willingness to learn

- Proven time management skills

- Willingness to undertake a psychometric skills assessment.
