About the centre:

Big Bear Academy Minto is a 120 place centre that opened in March 2026 and is looking for an Early Childhood Educator due to our increasing occupancy.

We understand the importance of investing in our team and setting them up for success. The successful team member will have plenty of opportunities to get to know the Big Bear way and learn off our sister centres.

About the Role - the reliable stuff:

Your duties will include but not be limited to:

Complying with all relevant legislation, regulations, and industry best practices - this is critical

Developing and implementing the educational programs and practices in line with the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards - children's agency, children's voices, project learning and experiences over activities are so important

Reviewing and contributing to the policies, procedures, action and quality improvement plans - this helps us create a continuous improvement environment

Building and nurturing respectful and meaningful relationships with children, families, team members, management team and approved providers

About You - more serious stuff:

Some key things we are looking for:

Minimum Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (Diploma preferred)

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with families, children, and the team

Ability to follow instructions with attention to detail

Strong organisational and problem-solving skills

Knowledge of the National Quality Framework, Early Years Learning Framework, and relevant legislation

A genuine passion for early childhood education and a commitment to providing high-quality care and learning experiences

Ability to safely lift children and equipment, and engage in active play

Current Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain before commencement)

Current Asthma and Anaphylaxis management training

Current First Aid and CPR certification

Current Child Protection & Food Handling training
