About the role

We are seeking an experienced Practice Manager to join our dental practice in Mackay, QLD on a part time basis. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of our dental practice, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery. The Practice Manager plays a crucial role in maintaining our practice standards, managing staff performance, and enhancing patient satisfaction. You will work collaboratively with clinical and administrative teams to support the strategic objectives of Sulthana Health Services.

What you'll be doing

- Overseeing daily practice operations, including scheduling, patient management and administrative processes
- Managing staff recruitment, training, development and performance management
- Maintaining financial controls, managing budgets and ensuring profitability targets are met
- Implementing and monitoring practice policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant dental regulations and standards
- Managing patient records and ensuring confidentiality and data protection standards are upheld
- Coordinating with clinical staff to optimise patient flow and clinical efficiency
- Handling patient enquiries,



complaints and concerns in a professional and empathetic manner
- Managing practice inventory, equipment maintenance and supplier relationships
- Preparing reports and providing management information to support decision‑making
- Ensuring infection control and health and safety protocols are consistently followed

What we’re looking for

- Proven experience as a Practice Manager In a dental or healthcare setting
- Strong knowledge of dental practice management systems and software
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities with strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
- Sound financial acumen including budgeting, payroll management and financial reporting
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with excellent customer service orientation
- Knowledge of dental regulations, privacy legislation and health and safety requirements in Australia
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and practice management software
- Problem‑solving capabilities and the ability to work effectively under pressure
- Current knowledge of Australian dental industry standards and best practice
