Joeys Pre-School & Early Learning Centre is seeking a Certificate III Educator - Maternity Relief Position to join our dedicated early learning team. This is a contract position based in Metford NSW 2323 , offering a wonderful chance to make a meaningful impact on children's development and learning during their early years. As a Certificate III Educator, you will play a vital role in creating nurturing, stimulating environments where children can grow, explore, and thrive. This position will provide relief coverage during a maternity leave absence, allowing our centre to maintain the high-quality care and education our families expect.

Key responsibilities

Deliver high-quality care and education programming aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards

Plan, implement and evaluate age-appropriate learning experiences and activities that promote children's cognitive, emotional,



social and physical development

Maintain safe, clean and welcoming learning environments that encourage exploration and discovery

Build positive relationships with children and create a sense of security and belonging within the classroom setting

Support children's individual needs, including those with additional learning requirements or development concerns

Communicate regularly with parents and carers regarding their child's progress, development and experiences at the centre

Collaborate with colleagues and follow centre policies, procedures and duty rosters

Maintain accurate records and documentation as required by regulatory standards

Model positive behaviour and support children's social-emotional development and self-regulation

Participate in professional development and stay current with early childhood education practices

What we're looking for

Current Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent recognised qualification

Current First Aid and CPR certification relevant to children

Strong understanding of child development, learning theories and the Early Years Learning Framework





Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues

Patience, creativity and enthusiasm for working with young children

Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to professional standards

Flexibility and reliability in meeting roster requirements

Experience in childcare or early learning environments is highly valued
