Excavator Operator – DIDO | Regional NSW

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join our team on a DIDO civil infrastructure project in regional NSW. You’ll be working on a busy site delivering a range of earthworks and civil construction tasks, contributing to high-quality project outcomes.

This position suits an operator who is confident, safety-focused, and experienced in civil environments, with the ability to work independently and as part of a crew. Ongoing work is available for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate excavators for bulk earthworks, trenching, and detailed excavation
- Final trim, battering, and benching to design levels
- Work around live services and follow safe excavation practices
- Read and interpret plans, set-out, and levels
- Perform daily pre-starts and basic machine maintenance
- Work closely with site supervisors, surveyors,



and ground crew
- Maintain a safe and productive work environment

Requirements:

- Proven experience operating wheeled & tracked excavators on civil construction sites
- GPS and/or final trim experience (highly regarded)
- Ability to read and interpret plans and levels
- Solid commitment to safety and site procedures
- White Card (essential)
- Excavator SOA & VOC
- Current Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle (required for DIDO)
- Ability to work rostered shifts and stay away from home
