Protech are currently seeking Field Officers to work from theVirginiaDepot withthe Fire Ant Program through Biosecurity Queenslandstarting27/7/2026 This is an ongoing position and will require thorough and effective surveillance and treatment of insect pests through Southern Queensland.

Key Duties:

- Visual surveillance and bait treatment for insects
- Daily reporting tasks, data collection and record keeping
- Driving Company vehicle

Mandatory Position Requirements:

- Open car licence
- MUST haveoutdoor work experience in Landscaping, Agriculture, Arboriculture, Land Management and Conservation, Civil OR Hiking/ Bushwalking
- MUST be physically fit as the role requires substantial walking through challenging terrain up to 10 – 15klm per day
- Ability to work in a team workplace
- Face to Face customer service experience
- Pass a drug and alcohol screen
- MUST be able to complete and pass a Police check
