Hunter Recruitment Group is proud to be partnering with ADSSI Limited to recruit a Permanent Part-Time RN to join their growing Hunter nursing team based in Maitland. This is an opportunity to step into a rewarding community nursing role where you'll work autonomously, apply your clinical expertise and make a lasting difference to the lives of older Australians.
About the Role Working across the Maitland, Beresfield and Dungog regions, you'll support older Australians living at home by providing comprehensive clinical care, assessments and ongoing care planning. You'll work closely with clients, families, GPs, allied health professionals the Support at Home team, and the wider ADSSI team to help people remain safe, healthy and independent in their own homes. This role gives you the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with your clients and deliver truly person centred care. You'll follow your clients' journey, advocate for their needs and work as part of a supportive clinical team that values quality of care.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Comprehensive nursing assessments and annual reviews
- Developing and reviewing care plans
- Wound assessment and management
- Catheter care
- Medication management
- Assessment and support plans for clients with cognitive changes
- Monitoring clinical deterioration and escalating complex clinical needs
- Supporting and mentoring the Enrolled Nurse
About You:
- Current AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse
- Community nursing or aged care experience
- Robust wound management and catheter care knowledge and skills
- Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking ability
- Outstanding communication and relationship building skills
- Confidence working autonomously in the community with a high level of responsibility.
- Ability to build trusted relationships while maintaining professional boundaries
- A genuine passion for supporting older people to live independently
