Advanced Group Services is seeking 10 experienced NSW Licensed Electricians with current RIW Cards to join a major rail infrastructure project commencing 10 August 2026 .
This is an excellent opportunity to secure 6 months of ongoing work on a rotating 24/7 roster, with the potential for an extension. All successful applicants will receive comprehensive project-specific training before commencing work.

- $60.00 per hour
- 8-hour days
- Project commencement: 10 August 2026
- Standard shift rate: $71.50 per hour
- Public Holiday rate: $137.50 per hour
- $500 attendance bonus every four weeks for continuous service without taking leave
- Shift swaps and team coverage encouraged
Roster Rotating 24/7 roster:
- 5 Day Shifts
- 2 Days Off
- 5 Afternoon Shifts
- 2 Days Off
- 5 Night Shifts
- 2 Days Off
Shift Times:
- Day Shift: 6:00am – 2:00pm
- Afternoon Shift: 2:00pm – 10:00pm
- Night Shift: 10:00pm – 6:00am
About the Role
Electricians will be positioned throughout the Sydney Metro network, with one electrician stationed at approximately every second station between Sydenham and Bankstown .
You will play a key role in maintaining rail assets while supporting safe and reliable network operations.
Key Responsibilities
Technical & Asset Management
- Perform basic fault finding and diagnostics on PTI assets
- Identify, record and report equipment faults
- Apply Metro Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) procedures for out-of-service equipment
- Operate Local Control Panels (LCP) in both normal and degraded operating modes
- Create and update work orders within the Asset Information System
Customer & Operational Support
- Provide on-site customer support during service disruptions
- Assist with equipment isolations and system recovery during degraded operations
- Deploy platform boarding ramps when requested by Station Controllers
- Assist with controlled passenger egress and emergency evacuations when required
Essential Requirements
- Current NSW Electrical Licence
- Current RIW (Rail Industry Worker) Card
- Ability to commit to a minimum six-month project
- Willingness to work a rotating 24/7 roster including days, afternoons, nights, weekends and public holidays
- Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
- Excellent communication skills
