If you're an experienced Electrical Fitter, Motor Rewinder or rotating equipment specialist who's looking for something more than the same job every day, we'd like to hear from you.

At Cortela Carbon, you'll travel to mining and industrial sites across Australia, working directly with customers to inspect, service and troubleshoot rotating electrical equipment. Every week is different. You'll solve technical problems, build strong customer relationships and help customers get the best outcome from their equipment.

This isn't a sales role. Your technical knowledge is what customers value. If you naturally spot ways to improve reliability or recommend additional work, we'll support you to develop those opportunities.

The role

Based in Brisbane or Perth, you'll spend around 70% of your time carrying out site inspections, servicing and repairs, with the remainder focused on working with customers and identifying opportunities to add value.

Your day could include:

Inspecting,



servicing and repairing AC and DC motors, slip rings, commutators and brush gear

Performing electrical testing including IR, PI, winding resistance and continuity testing

Preparing professional inspection reports with recommendations

Working closely with customers to solve equipment issues

Identifying repair or upgrade opportunities while on site

Liaising with our internal team to scope and progress follow-up work

Coordinating travel, mobilisation and site requirements

Working safely on mining and industrial sites, including occasional shutdowns and extended shifts

About you

You'll be someone who enjoys getting out on site, solving problems and building relationships.

Ideally, you'll have:

Experience working with rotating electrical equipment

Experience in mining, industrial or heavy manufacturing environments

Strong fault-finding and technical troubleshooting skills

Confidence communicating with customers and site personnel

A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently

A current driver's licence

A willingness to travel across Australia

Sales experience isn't necessary. If you're technically strong, communicate well and enjoy helping customers, we'll teach you the commercial side.
