Northern Health is looking for a new Medical Administration Registrar! This is a rare and exciting opportunity for doctors (PGY3+) who are interested in pursuing a medical leadership and management career. This is a 12-month position commencing February 2027. If you find that Medical Administration is the career for you, opportunities may be available to continue beyond the initial 12-month period.

Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne's rapidly growing outer north.

Services are provided through our six main campuses:

Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn and Mernda Community Hospitals and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park, Mernda and Coburg.

About the Role:





The Medical Administration Registrar will work with the Chief Medical Officer and Deputy Chief Medical Officer to provide professional leadership and clinical guidance with a particular focus on clinical governance, medical education, medical workforce management and implementation of key strategic projects. The position is designed to provide the registrar with exposure to a wide range of medical management matters in a large complex health service setting

This role requires you to have AHPRA medical registration with no conditions, undertakings or reprimand.

To be successful in this role you will have:

- At least 3 years of a wide range of clinical experience
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to influence and engage a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Collaborative and consultative approach
- Willingness to learn, ability to reflect and take on constructive feedback.
