About us...
Eaton College is a co-educational, special purpose educational facility for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Since opening on 10 July 2023 with an inaugural cohort of 15 students, the College has grown to support students from Prep to Year 6. Eaton College maintains small class sizes that allow for personalised learning and meaningful teacher–student connections.
As we continue to grow, we are entering an exciting new phase! From 2027, Eaton College will expand into Secondary education, creating a seamless pathway for students and opening new opportunities for passionate educators and professionals to be part of building and shaping this next stage. This expansion is part of a long-term vision, with additional stages planned to support up to 120 students over the next 10 years.

About the role...
As we enter our next phase of growth, we are seeking a passionate and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our Team on a Permanent, Part-Time (Term-Time only) basis starting in 2027!
The role of a Teaching Assistant is to provide support to teaching team and students in the effective delivery of quality education for students with Autism. This role will be for 33 hours weekly over 5 days during the school term only.
Core duties
- Provide quality in-class support of students under the direction of a teacher.
- Assist teachers with the preparation of teaching materials and modification of resources to suit learners needs.
- Provide one-to-one and small group tuition under teacher supervision and direction.

What we are looking for?
To be successful in this role, you will have a current positive Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
You will also have
- Experience in working with students with Autism.
- Patience and a high degree of understanding and compassion.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with students and colleagues, and a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff in a classroom environment.
- A willingness to support our Christian mission - as a preference, our ideal candidates will be able to provide a Pastoral Reference.
Appropriate qualifications and expertise, including a Certificate III in Educational Support or equivalent, and knowledge and experience relevant to the role are desirable.
